वन्देSहं देव भक्त्या भवभयदहनं सज्जनान् मोदयन्तम् || 40 ||
This is the 40th shloka of Sri Hari Vayu Stuti, the penultimate one before the author offers his mangala padya. In this shloka, Sri Trivikrama Panditacharya repeatedly offers his pranamas to Srimadanandatirtha Bhagavatpada. One can distinctly notice the overflowing devotion and subservience of the author to Sri Madhwa in this shloka.
Even while offering his salutations, the author in his inimicable style, highlights a few noble and distinct qualities of Srimadacharya – such as his complete knowledge in all matters (by virtue of being a Ruju), his devotion to Narayana and Lakshmi, and his benovolence on devotees relieving them from the travails of samsara.
I offer my salutions वन्दे to तं you त्वा O Poornaprajna, the one with complete knowledge सुपूर्ण प्रमतिं, and one who is served सेवितं by all the devata-ganas देव वृन्दैः everyday अनुदिना!
I offer my salutations वन्दे to you Srimadanandatirtha श्रीमदानन्दतीर्थं, who is continually नियतं engaged in the worship वन्दारुं of Eesha ईशे (Narayana), and Lakshmi श्रिय as well उत!
I offer my salutations वन्दे to you, whose association सङ्गं brings greater merits साधिक्य than even by taking bath आसेक in the clear अमल waters जल of that excellent river सत्सरित that is the divine Mandakini (Ganga) मन्दाकिनी.
I अहं offer my devotion भक्त्या filled salutations वन्दे to you O Lord देव, who burns away दहनं the fears भय of worldly life भव, and one who causes great joy मोदयन्तं to those who are noble सज्जनान्!
May Sri Madhwacharya, the epitome of knowledge, devotion and benevolence be pleased with this prayer and bless us with jnana, bhakti and vairagya!
